Powering up batteries from long-term storage

At the beginning of each ski season, the TetraSki batteries must be “woken up” from their protective deep-sleep state. The batteries will enter this state on their own after 30 days of non-use, or they will have been manually powered down at the end of the last ski season.

Powering the batteries back on is simple and should take less than five minutes.

How to Power Up Batteries

(1) On the left side of the control box (under the seat), unscrew the four Phillips screws that secure the battery door in place.

(2) Remove the door and rubber gasket. You should see two black buttons, one on top of the other.

(3) Using your screwdriver, carefully press each button until the LED next to the button turns GREEN, and then release the button. The LED will flash green again upon release to confirm.

(4) Make sure both batteries have been powered on by quickly pressing each button - if you see any RED light the battery is still powered down. Failure to turn on both batteries will result in severely reduced capacity and potential loss of power on hill.

(5) Replace the battery door, being careful not to over-tighten the small battery door screws.

Remember, the TetraSki will automatically power back down after 30 days (a simple power on/off will reset this timer), so make sure you perform this procedure late enough in the fall that it won’t shut back down.
