Remote control intermittent response/disconnection

Check that the thumbstick of the remote feels tight and responsive, and returns to a center position when released. The TetraSki is programmed to ignore values it finds to be “errors” - i.e. outside of the nominal thumbstick range. This function prevents a loss-of-control situation should the remote suffer damage.

If suspected, place the ski in debug mode by rapidly pressing the power button five times, and inspect the RemX and RemY values. They should always read ‘254’ with the remote thumbstick untouched.

If a problem is detected, power down the remote for the run and contact Tetradapt support for assistance.

In rare circumstances, outside devices can cause interference issues with the remote. This is usually noticeable indoors, especially with older-style cordless telephone systems. Move the TetraSki outside and check if the problem remains.

If any water intrusion to the remote is suspected, power the remote down and allow it to dry indoors for several days. Contact Tetradapt support if the problem persists.
