One actuator is not working - totally unresponsive

This section describes a situation where only one actuator is entirely unresponsive. If one or both actuators move but appear to be moving incorrectly, see One or both actuators stalling or running into end stops.

  • Check the actuator connectors and make sure they are locked in place with the twist-lock collar fully turned. If an actuator has disconnected, make sure no snow or moisture has entered the connector pins, plug it in correctly, and cycle power.

  • Inspect the cables connecting to the actuators along their entire length. Look for any cuts or breaks in the insulation on the wires. If any damage to the cable is noticed, discontinue use of the TetraSki and contact Tetradapt support for assistance.

  • If the connectors are properly connected and the problem persists, contact Tetradapt support for assistance.

For further diagnosis, try swapping the actuator cables (left to right and vice-versa) and make note of the response. Does the problem remain on the original side or did it switch sides? This will aid tech support in a diagnosis.
